Six Word Saturday 10/29

I'm listening to Christmas music already!

In my defense, I am getting supplies ready for a Christmas card making party that I am hosting next week.  I am trying to get my rear end moving on the prep work and thought a little music might help in the motivation department...

I have the stuff out but that is about all... Such is the life of a procrastinator!  :)

Five Question Friday 10/28

 

This week’s questions:

1. Do you prefer cotton, silk, or flannel sheets?

Cotton!  I like the 200 to 300 thread count, they seem to stay cooler and less wrinkly.  I bought some Egyptian cotton 800 tc and hated them!

 

2. What time zone are you in?

Pacific

 

3. What is your favorite part of the holiday season?

All the good food!  Generally everyone has a smile on their face, (I stay away from the malls) there is a feeling of anticipation in the air.   I think my favorite part of Christmas is sitting in the dark with just the lights blinking on the tree and feeling calm and peaceful.

4. What is your favorite "wintry" drink? (It doesn't have to be an "alcoholic" drink!)

I drink a hot Peppermint White Chocolate Mocha all year long! 

 

5. In your opinion, what is the worst job in the world?

President, King, Queen, etc.  Anything that puts you in charge of loads of people.  I have a hard enough time pleasing the people in my house, I can't imagine if I had to please everyone in the country that would be WAY too much pressure!

Ready to not be sick anymore!

I am much better than on Thursday and Friday but enough already!

Five Question Friday 10/21

 

This week’s questions:

1. Where do you escape to when you've had enough?

I usually take a nap. 

2. What shows are you watching this fall?

House is the only thing I watch besides sports on regular TV.  I do watch Real Housewives on BRAVO but they are arguing to much anymore for it to be any fun so I am not really watching that too often.  Mostly I watch sports and the news.

3. What was the longest roadtrip you've ever taken and where did you go?

1978 we went from WA to OR and then to ID, MT and WY.  Yellowstone was a blast!  Two weeks long and lots of miles.

 

4. Do you plan on taking your kids to Disney World?

We went to Disneyland when my son was 8, we had a good time.  I would liek to go again with just adults though.  I think that would be a blast.  My son is an adult now so I guess I could do both, go with my son the adult!  :)

 

5. What is something people would surprised to know about you?

I am sentimental.

Follow Friday 10/21

Edited: I am blaming being really sick for the last few days on linking up the wrong post... Sorry for any confusion.

This week’s statements:

1. I am afraid of spiders.  Even on TV.  I don't like to see them or think about them, no matter the size.  I have nightmares about them and have almost pushed my husband out of the way to get out of the bed running, in my sleep, from the spiders...
2. My craft room is my favorite room of my house.  I am surrounded by all the things I love and all the possibilities that can be dreamed of.
3. The last time I was in Scottsdale, I couldn’t believe how fast the time went.
4. I got my first earrings when I was 13, my grandparents wanted me to wait until I was 16, but my parents let me do it anyway!

Here are this week's questions!  

1. Do you sleep with the window open or the fan on no matter

what the weather is like?

Neither, my used to sleep with the window cracked year round but I broke him of that habit! 

2. What is your favorite comfort food?

 Homemade Mac and Cheese!

3. Do you ever go to a chiropractor? 

 I used to go all the time but my insurance stopped covering it so I don't go much if at all anymore...

4.What is your most memorable Halloween costume growing up?

 I don't remember any of my costumes but my mom dressed up as a pile of leaves one year.  We took a black garbage bag and stapled dry leaves to it!  She looked really cool!

5.Do you prefer the sunrise or the sunset?

I like them both but I am usually only awake for sunsets!

Happy Fall Wreaths

This was a fun project to work on. I will definitely be making more of these crinoline flowers for future projects!  I am out of wreaths now so until the Dollar Tree gets more in I won't be making any for awhile.  I did find cones there so...maybe I will make something with those!
