The challenge this month: Cover Art

Cover art is a wonderful source of inspiration and it can be found all around you.  Your challenge is to select one of my favorite covers (or a cover of your own) and use it as inspiration to create a really unique project.  Take things into consideration such as the layout of everything on the cover, the colors, the sentiment placement, etc.

My inspiration:

My interpretation:

So some of the things I learned doing this card, Glitter embossing powder is not for fine details like words...  Embroidery thread does not stay together after being cut and the shiny kind does not stay knotted.

Having said that, I think it turned out pretty well.  I like it better in real life.  This card shows my addiction devotion to PTI as I used stamps from A Little Argyle, Peaceful Garden, Take a Bough & Holiday Lights.  PTI Ink: Fresh Snow & Pure Poppy.  PTI CS Kraft. PTI Dies: Small Jar & Home for the Holidays.  Other supplies: DCWV Grey and shiny red CS, VersaMark, Yellow Stickles,  misc sparkle paper and floss.

Thanks for stopping by and wishing you a wonderful holiday season!

    1. Hi, DCWV is a brand of cardstock/paper the full name is Die Cuts With a View. You can find this brand in most craft stores, Joann's usually has them on sale. HTH!
