Grateful for you PTI Blog Hop

I used the Mighty Oak leaves colored with Gelatos for the wreath.  The kraft cardstock is embossed with a Tim Holtz folder and then I brayered over it with kraft ink.  The bow out of gold shimmer cs with a die from lil' inker.  The Basket of Blessings sentiment is stamped with Delicata golden glitz pigment ink (love this ink) on rustic white cs.

Fall card

This color combo is totally out of my comfort zone.  I found this video on you-tube the other day.  I love the look and feel of gelato's.  I wasn't liking this card at all but I just kept playing with it thinking I was just going to toss it but wanted to try blending different colors and painting the background and found that I really like it now!  Not sure about a sentiment though.  I will have to keep thinking about it.

Smile

Confession time, I have a lot few rolls of washi tape.  I seem to be hording it as I have not used it much.  I do love to buy look at it though!  :)  As I was browsing you-tube the other day I came across this video from Kristina Werner, this is my take on her card.

Praying for you

During the August release for PTI Nicole Heady made a gorgeous card.  I feel in love with the look and wanted to make something similar.  I had planned on a using a different stamp but get it to fit.   I kept mine a one layer card as I am always trying to make those and have them turn out not looking so...flat.  I think I succeeded on this one!  :) (Thanks to Nicole!)

Thinking of you

Last weeks Hello Monday card from Julie Ebersole for Ellen Hudson was so pretty I had to make one!

I think it turned out very soft and pretty.  I think I will use a darker color for the sentiment next time though.

Flower from SU; Background Hero Arts; Everything else PTI.

Autumn

So after the last couple of cards using the Mighty Oak die, I had all of these left over leaves.   I stamped them with harvest gold, summer sunrise, orange zest and terracotta tile.  This is not at all what I had planned on making I was only going to have a few flat leaves on the stamped half tree...but the leaves had a mind of their own the curled up and just jumped on the tree!  :)  In real life this is beautiful.

All supplies PTI.

On the trees and the flowers

Here is another card with the Mighty Oak die from PTI.  All supplies PTI.  The color is out of my comfort zone but I think it turned out alright.

Six Word Saturday

Really thought I would feel different...

This past week marked my 25th anniversary and I somehow thought that I would feel, I don't know older, more together etc.  I guess I will wait and see if it hits me on my birthday in a few weeks when I will officially be in my late 40's...

Happy September weekend!

Live for Today Card

This is my first card with the Mighty Oak die.  I stamped the Simply Chartreuse cardstock with the envelope pattern stamp from Hero Arts inked with versamark.  The sentiment is from GK Designs.  I think this die will be getting a lot of use year round!
