Garage sale in two more weeks...


I absolutely hate garage sales.  Going to them, having them, thinking about them.  My son and husband want to take part in our neighborhood sale coming up.  It is only for one day so I said I would do it.  UGH.  I think we would just be much better off taking everything we were going to sell and donate it to Goodwill.  Less work, plus a tax deduction.  That's a win, win in my book.

    Sounds good, Tonya ~~ I got volunteered too for tomorrow. Will be working with the Toddlers in SS along with another lady. Our church is adding young families fast and so need some 'extra' volunteers.

    A lady from my class and I will be helping. BUT is ours for only an hour plus, yours sounds like a day! ;)

    I hate garage sales too however remember one man's junk is another man's treasure. You can also make a donation with the proceeds to another charity.

    Garage sales are a lot of work, but it is also fun to come up with some extra spending money, and to "people watch" and see who goes home with your things. You will make a lot of folks happy! We have an abundance of clutter that needs the same effort, good luck with your sale, err, or donation! ;-)

    My (bossy) sister used to make me participate in yard sales with her....No matter how much (or how little) money I made, it was never worth the work, the heat, the time......Now that my sister is gone, I wish we could have another yard sale....

    I dread Garage Sales too...until they are actually happening, and then I feel good to be purging some clutter!
    But I am with you...it is easier to just donate and get the tax credit! So either way...I need to "clean out" things and de-clutter soon! Thanks for the reminder!
