PTI Blog Hop May 2013

The challenge this month was to pick your favorite floral stamp set and have fun with different color combos and maybe try something a little bit out of your normal creative comfort zone!

This is a case from this card I found on pinterest.  I used the sweet life, delightful doilies and gracious vases stamp sets and the dies for the first two.

Here is my second card:

I found this card on Pinterest and just knew I had to make something similar.  I love the colors and the design.  I double stamped the bigger hearts just a little off to give it a some dimension and if you notice the ones in the middle are almost exactly on top of each other, I never could have done that purpose!  ha ha!  It kind of looks like they are coming out from behind the pink and as they get farther away they are separating.  Well that is my story and I'm sticking to it!  :)

So I tried another craft I saw on Pinterest...

I have been on Pinterest for almost two years now and I still love it as much as I did in the beginning!  The problem with it is I find so many things I want to try, but I just don't have the time to try them all...

I did find the time to try this one and guess what?  It worked!  YAY!

I used different sizes and brands of glitter and they all turned out great!  They look good on the tree too!

Papertrey Ink July Blog Hop

What I came up with:

 

I really like colors on the dress and think it makes a great background.  I tried to tie in the belt by adding the cording.  I didn't have watercolor paper, so I dabbed wet a papertowel on an ink pad and bounced it around on damp cardstock and I think it turned out okay.  It is more muted IRL than in this picture.

Oh my gosh I can't believe that I have been working on this project since about Noon yesterday!  There were several neat challenges to choose from and I chose Melissa's.  This is what I came up with:

I think the reason it took me so long was that I couldn't come up with a color scheme and then I was over thinking the whole thing! (That happens to me a lot!)  Anyway I am glad this one is behind me.  Now it's on to the next challenge!
