31 Days of Creativity Day 26 & PTI Oct Blog Hop

I have linked up at the Nester to join in on the 31 Days Challenge!

Day 26 & The October blog hop challenge is to make five gift tags!

After seeing Laura Bassen's tag last month I was in love!  These were fairly quick and easy to make and I think they look wonderful!  You can never go wrong with glitter and these are so sparkly!

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy May Day!

I don't remember when it started but for as long as I can remember I have given my mom flowers on May Day.  This year will be no different.  I started making these flowers a last month but never finished them. (Can you tell I am a procrastinator? Nah.)  This all started while I was browsing Pinterest and seeing tons of beautiful paper flowers and was amazed that they were being made from coffee filters.  So I found a tutorial I liked and started making them. Then stopped. Then started again. Then stopped... You get the picture. I did finally get them done!

I think theses are so pretty gathered together!  There are five flowers here.
I stamped a tag and tied it to the bouquet.
I thought I would give her a little something that she can carry with her wherever she goes, to know that she is loved!

The heart is a pocket token from Lisa Leonard Designs.  This is my third order in a little over a month!  All of her items are handcrafted and simply stunning!

Thank you for stopping by and wishing you a wonderful May Day!

Ellen Hutson's 12 Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Twist

It was love at first sight with Jennifer's tag!  I ran right out and purchased the mirror and I had everything else on hand.  One thing though, have you ever tried to take a picture of a mirror and not be in the picture?  Try it.  It is not that easy.  :)

In real life it is very shiny and pretty!

Memory Preservation Badge-Mini Book Challenge

"Memory Preservation Badge- Mini Book Challenge"

Oh my gosh I can't believe that I have been working on this project since about Noon yesterday!  There were several neat challenges to choose from and I chose Melissa's.  This is what I came up with:

I think the reason it took me so long was that I couldn't come up with a color scheme and then I was over thinking the whole thing! (That happens to me a lot!)  Anyway I am glad this one is behind me.  Now it's on to the next challenge!

My Version of Tim's day 4 Christmas Tag

This was a fun technique to do.  These new stains are great. I tried to do this background with just the stamp pads and a spritz of water but it just didn't do what the stains do.  So I ran to the LSS and bought some more stain. I am really starting to like the glossy accents glue also used inside the number 25.

Thanks for looking!

Celebrate the Season Christmas Tag

I was checking out the Tim Holtz blog about a month ago and he had a link to Tammy Tutterow's post with a really cool technique with De-bossing and Crackle paint.  I will be using this technique again for sure!

Sparkle Christmas Tag

I visited Impress Stamps last week and they have sample cards, tags etc. on their end-caps. I saw a card and KNEW I had to try it. I think this is my favorite tag so far!

While surfing Pintrest I came across this printable Christmas paper which was the inspiration for this tag!

Celebrate Christmas Tag

I really like the look of this tag. Kind of a vintagey (is that even a word, it should be!) feel.

Deck the Halls Christmas Tag

I wanted to try out some of the new(used) stamps I bought a couple of months ago and this tag is what became of that play session.

Christmas Tag Day One

This my version of these two tags: Tim Holtz and Shelly Hickox

They both have excellent instructions on their sites so check them out and give it a try!  Leave me a comment and a link to your blog if you make one, I would love to see it!

Happy Crafting,
