1. What are some of your pet peeves?

People telling me what to do while I am doing it!  

People driving slower than the speed limit in the fast lane!  

People coming to my front door trying to sell me something.

2. Do you have a favorite or lucky number?

17 has always been my lucky number. 

 

3. What is one of your family traditions?

We spend Christmas Eve with my husbands family and Christmas Day with mine, or we go out of state to visit my Grandparents.

 

4. Is there anything you are OC about?

I like all my clothes to face the same way in the closet.  I don't like anyone touching my night stand or my bathroom counter.  I know where everything is so that with my glasses off I can find what I need. (after 23 years hubby still doesn't get it!)

 

5. What is your favorite kind of food?

Italian is my favorite.

1. Did you make any fun purchases this week?
No purchases this week but my stamps and dies from PTI that I ordered three weeks ago arrived this week!  WOOHOO!

2. If you could go to any musical concert, what would it be?

 Alive - I am very into Adele, Michael Buble and Jason Mraz right now so any of them.  Dead - Elvis!


3. What is your least fav/ most fav house chore?

 Least - Bathroom  Most - When someone else cleans the bathroom!


4. Would you prefer new appliances or clothes?

Is this really a question?  Clothes, hands down!


5. Miracle Whip or Mayo?

Best Foods Mayo, I think this is Hellmans on the East coast.

Papertrey August Blog Hop

I used my sewing machine!

Here is another card with the MME Lost&Found paper that I am in love with. This card is for my mom as she helped me set up my sewing machine a few weeks ago. I bought the machine the day after Thanksgiving and it sat in the box until then. I have never used a sewing machine before. After getting it set up I was too intimidated to use it. I finally said to myself JUST DO IT!. So I did and this is the result. Not perfect but I like the added detail so I will keep practicing until I get better at it.
I will NOT be sewing anything other paper anytime soon, if ever!   :)

Beautiful Sunset Tonight

These are from my back deck.  They are pretty but IRL it was gorgeous!  It was more of a pink then orange/red color.

1. Do you prefer to use a regular pencil or mechanical pencil?

Pencil what is a pencil?  Pen's all the way!
2. What is your favorite color in the crayon box?

Red

3. Bottled glue or glue stick?

 I had a roll on liquid when I was in school.

4. calculator or do it in your head?

If you want it correct use a calculator.
5.Favorite subject while in High School?

Band!  Had a blast!

5 Question Friday

1. Do you close the bathroom door when you are home alone?

Nope, but  I do say excuse me when I am alone...

2. You have to walk around with a word on your forehead. That word describes you. One word. What is it?

Unpretending - meaning free from any intent to deceive or impress others.  I live my life how I want and not how others think I should.

 

3. What store do you refuse to shop at and why?

I don't have a store right now but I will not buy GE products.  They have parts that are made in Iran and they also pay no taxes in the US, they keep their profit offshore (Europe) to keep from having to pay US taxes.

4. If you participated in arranged marriages for your child(ren), who would you choose for your child(ren)?

I haven't met anyone yet that I would choose.

5. If you could pick how and when you would die, would you?

I would pick how but not when.  I would like to die peacefully in my sleep.  If I knew when I would feel rushed to try and get the good things in and I think everyday has a good thing in it that I can enjoy and I learn from and would make big things more appreciated.

1. If you could choose one of your personality traits to pass on to your children, what would it be?

Integrity, doing the right thing and personal responsibility are the only way to live.

2. What's your favorite candy bar?

Hmm, this is a tough one... I eat a Snickers when I need a pick me up, but to eat just because probably a toss up between a 100 Grand and Reese Peanut Butter Cup.

3. If you could vacation anywhere in the world, where would it be?

Maui, Kaanapali Beach

4. What 3 adjectives would you use to describe yourself?

Honest, Quirky, Direct

5. In one word, how would your best friend describe you?

Trustworthy

Hoo Are you 8/10

1. Do you exercise regularly and what do you do?

I would really like to say yes, but I can't.  When I do exercise I like to walk.

2. Do you have any weird sleeping habits?

I have to sleep with two pillows that are made from a down comforter.

3. How often do you vacuum?

My husband does the vacuuming but he does it all the time.  The whole house is done at least twice a week and the kitchen and family room several times a day.  Think he might have an problem?  ;)

4.Do you accessorize and if so what is your favorite thing to accessorize with?

 I have earrings that I wear everyday.  I don't wear much, I have lots but I just don't take the time to wear them.

5. What is your favorite drink during the summertime?

I drink Starbucks (hot) Peppermint White Mocha Not Fat No Whip year round!

Five Question Friday

1. Do you have siblings and are you close with them?

No siblings. I am close with my parents and vacation with them a lot.

2. Would you rather be slightly UNDER weight or slightly OVER weight?

Seeing as I am already OVER weight, (what weight I don't know) I would LOVE to see how the other people live that are UNDER weight!

3. What's your favorite State Fair food to splurge on?

Fresh cut curly fries! Greasy goodness. Scones are a close second!

4. What are your thoughts on your kid(s) going to school in a few weeks?

Mine is taking a year off before starting on his junior year in college. Not thrilled, I would like him to start sooner.

5. Pool or Ocean?

Pool, not as many sharks!

I have seen this on Lindsay's blog a few times and thought it would be fun to try, so here we go.









1. What is your favorite craft or type of craft and if you are a crafter how did you get into it?
My favorite craft right now is paper crafting. I love all crafts! My mom was into ceramics and tri-chem. I remember taking a tri-chem class with her, I couldn't have been more than six, in the back of ERNST hardware store. I have been crafting something or other ever since.


2. What shows have you been watching this summer?
I have been watching Real Housewives of NY and New Jersey. There is too much fighting so I think I am done with those shows. I have also been watching Weeds and Entourage. They are both great entertainment.

3. Who does the yard work at your house?
Husband! I'm no dummy and I HATE bugs!

4. Are you working on any projects inside the home or outside this week?
Not yet but I am hoping to start this soon!

5. Do you have to worry about getting ready for back to school?
Not this fall. My son is almost finished with his AA and is looking for a university for next fall. (While I save money!)
