Papertrey Ink July Blog Hop

I really like colors on the dress and think it makes a great background.  I tried to tie in the belt by adding the cording.  I didn't have watercolor paper, so I dabbed wet a papertowel on an ink pad and bounced it around on damp cardstock and I think it turned out okay.  It is more muted IRL than in this picture.

Stamp-a-faire Farewell

Stamp-a-faire is over now. I have had a blast reading the forums, watching the videos of all the talented design team members and checking out the blogs of all the wonderful campers. There are A LOT of great artists out there!   Well and of course I had a great time creating things with ink and paper!

My craft room looks like a storm blew threw, I guess it kind of did.  I was running back and forth from my table to the die cut machine to the paper cutter. I know one thing though, this guy will be really happy when he can sleep on top of my works in progress or sometimes even a clear spot on my craft table and not relegated to a tiny spot in the corner.

Stamp-a-faire Camp Card Set Challenge

Now this is a challenge that I could really get into!  These cards were really quick to make, like 20 mins, my issues came with getting the twine through the buttons (30 mins!(don't ask)) and then my camera didn't want to actually take pictures...  After playing around for awhile(another 30 mins) I finally got one to post on here.

I chose Danielle's tutorial but I plan to try all tutorials since they were all great! I will be giving these as Christmas gifts.   If you would like to check out all the fun head on over to Nicole's blog.

Oh my gosh I can't believe that I have been working on this project since about Noon yesterday!  There were several neat challenges to choose from and I chose Melissa's.  This is what I came up with:

I think the reason it took me so long was that I couldn't come up with a color scheme and then I was over thinking the whole thing! (That happens to me a lot!)  Anyway I am glad this one is behind me.  Now it's on to the next challenge!

Stamp-A-Faire Knots Badge - Ribbon Techniques Challenge

The first challenge this morning is Knots Badge-Ribbon Techniques Challenge

I hope to try all of the challenges but the one that jumped out to me was Betsy's I love the "ribbon roast" technique and have only tried it on large fabric so I just had to try that one for sure. The next one that jumped out at me was Erin's I couldn't decide on which one so I decided to combine the two!  

This is what I came up with: 

Those ribbon flowers are so cool IRL!  I will be doing that more often.  The layered ribbon I am going to have to play around with I am not "loving" it on this card but I do love some of the other participants here & here versions that turned out awesome so I will be trying it again.

YAY!! Stamp-A-Faire is here!

I have been up since 5am and so far have only managed to finish one card.  But that is okay, I am having a good time (now that I have made my Starbucks run) anyway.

I have been waiting not so patiently for this day to get here! I love PTI and all of the talented team members and am ready to tackle all the fun things they have in store for us!

New computer!

Um yeah, so this should be a good thing.  But with a new computer comes updated software, restoring info from old computer and relearning the new places/names for the same folders…  Change is good is what everyone keeps telling me…
I say BAH HUMBUG!
Side note I am posting this though Windows Live Writer, I was trying to install messenger but this is what it installed…  So far it seems to work fine, I think it might be tricking as I don’t see away to view the old posts or html but I will keep searching.
