Isn't amazing how the acidity level in the dirt determines the color of the hydrangea?  I think so.  This is my favorite flower in all of the gorgeous colors!

I am hoping that this challenge will improve my photo skills.  I will be taking a picture a day loosely based on the list above.  I say loosely because I am not sure how to take a picture of some of the things listed.  I guess it means I will just have to be creative!

I have been and loved being creative for as long as I can remember.  When I was very little I remember my mom doing ceramics, tri-chem and crocheting.  This month I will be sharing something creative every day.  I hope you will enjoy and join me on this journey.

CAS(E) this Sketch #47& cQc#208

After seeing this card I decided to give these challenges a try.  So I got out my washi tape and my halloween stamp set that just came in the mail on Thursday!  This is what I came up with:

What's that you say you don't see any washi tape?  Hmm, weird because it was on my table, this is the second time in a week I had a plan in mind and something else is what I ended up with!  Is that a sign of a genius?  I think so!  ;)

I used distress mustard seed on the moon.  I stamped and colored the image and the sentiment with distress pumice stone. I used walnut stain distress marker(DM) for the broom, tattered rose DM for the face and DM pumice stone for the rest of the image.   The more I look at this the more I like the clouds, I used cut and dry foam inked with pumice stone and brushed it on.  I think they look wispy. 

You know what?  Now that I am typing this out I realize I used more than the three colors for the cQc oops!  I guess I won't be linking to that challenge after all!  You can tell I obviously don't know how to count past three!   :)

Six Word Saturday 9/28/13

 One third, two seconds, two firsts!

On Tuesday, my 46th birthday, I picked up the cards I entered into our local fair.  I entered seven cards all in different categories and won ribbons on five of them!  Yay!  Happy Birthday to me!  :)

These two didn't place, but I think they are still special!

This won third place!

These won second!

These won First place!

We have a really great fair, I believe it is like the 10th largest in the world!  If you get the chance to visit our great state during it's 18 day run you must go to the fair!

Merry Christmas-PTI Sept Blog Hop

I think this is my favorite of all the cards I made for this months hop!  It is simple but elegant.  This card from pinterest was my inspiration.

Stamp from Christmas Blessing.  The berries are gold dots that I colored red with a copic marker.

This my last card for the hop.  It was supposed to resemble a door but looking at the uploaded picture, I can see that I forgot one little thing that would tip you off that it was a door, a knob!  lol

Is it me or do you find that some simple cards are the hardest and take the longest to make?  I remade this card three times!  I do love the colored buttons though!
